The Purana of devotion to Krishna
The Shrimad Bhagavatam — the great Purana of bhakti, centred on Vishnu and Krishna.
In twelve cantos (skandhas) and about 18,000 verses, the Bhagavata Purana narrates the avataras of Vishnu, and above all the lila of Krishna in its tenth canto. It is the heart-text of the Vaishnava bhakti tradition.
