माण्डूक्य उपनिषद्
Mandukya Upanishad
Om and the four states
The shortest Upanishad, on Om and the four states of consciousness.
In just twelve verses the Mandukya expounds Om (AUM) as the whole of reality and the four states — waking (jagrat), dream (svapna), deep sleep (sushupti) and the transcendent Turiya. Gaudapada's Karika upon it is foundational to Advaita.
