The path of Patanjali
The darshana of disciplined practice, systematised in the Yoga Sutras.
Patanjali's Yoga Sutras present the ashtanga (eight limbs) — yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana and samadhi — as a practical path, sharing Samkhya's metaphysics and adding Ishvara.
