Shaiva Traditions
Devotion to Shiva
The Shaiva streams worship Shiva as the supreme reality, through temple, yoga and philosophy.
Shaiva traditions include Shaiva Siddhanta (rooted in the Agamas), Kashmir Shaivism (a non-dual current) and the Nayanar bhakti of the south. Shiva is honoured as linga, as Nataraja and as the inner Self.
