Ganesha Pancharatnam · The Five-Jewel Hymn — recitation

Coming soon

अर्थ

Meaning
Ganesha, joyfully holding the modaka, wearing the crescent moon, protector of the playful world, foremost among the leaderless — I bow to Him who swiftly destroys the misfortunes of those who bow. He shines like the newly-risen sun, terrifies the enemies of devotees, rescues those bowed by distress; He is Lord of gods, treasures, elephants and Ganas. Whoever recites this five-jewel hymn each morning with devotion attains health, freedom from defects, learning, worthy offspring and the eight forms of prosperity.

संदर्भ

Context
Attributed to Ādi Śaṅkarācārya. A compact yet philosophically dense hymn.

प्रयोग

How it is traditionally used
Recite in the morning after bathing, remembering Ganesha in the heart.
