About & Significance

Born as the daughter of sage Katyayana to slay Mahishasura, Katyayani is the fierce warrior form who destroys demons. The gopis of Braj worshipped her to obtain Krishna; her worship is held especially auspicious for the removal of obstacles to marriage and for triumph over adversity.
